RWB Joshua A. Thompson

Right Worshipful Brother Joshua A .Thompson was born and raised in the northland/Parkville area of Kansas City, Missouri where he currently lives with his wife Wendi and their children Brooks and Selah. In his professional life RWB Thompson is Regional Facilities Manager at Polsinelli PC, an AmLaw 100 law firm, where he has worked in various roles for over 9 years and served as project manager for the construction and/or remodel of over a million square feet of tenant interior space across the US.

RWB Thompson is from a Masonic family; his grandfather was a 66 year member of Empire Lodge No. 213 in Mauldin, South Carolina, where numerous uncles are also Past Masters, and he was honored to be present at Empire Chapter No. 251 when his grandmother, Nell, received her 75 year pin in the Order of the Eastern Star.  However, his own Masonic journey started a little closer to home when was welcomed into the Freemasonry at Nodaway Lodge No. 470 in Maryville while completing his Bachelor’s Degree at Northwest Missouri State University.  Brother Thompson continued his formal education in the UK, receiving his Master’s Degree in International Relations from Coventry University.  He also continued his Masonic education as a member and officer of St Mary’s Lodge No. 63 under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of England.  On returning to Missouri, Bro Thompson joined Compass Lodge No. 120 in Parkville and later Kansas City Lodge No. 220, and is a Past Master of both lodges.  WB Thompson’s first appointment as an officer of the Grand Lodge was as Grand Chaplain to MWB David W. Haywood in 2014 and he has since served the Grand Lodge in many capacities. At the 2022 Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Missouri, Most Worshipful Brother Richard W. Kaeser Jr. announced his appointment to the Advancing Line of the Grand Lodge, and the 11th member of the Truman Line.

An ardent ritualist, RWB Thompson holds no less than 8 Ritual Subdivision cards and is an active participant in Degree work in the Kansas City area.  He has served multiple terms as Treasurer and Secretary of his Lodges, served 5 years as District Deputy Grand Lecturer of the 17th Masonic District, and has numerous other Masonic affiliations, including: The Board of Directors of the Masonic Home of Missouri (Secretary), The Midwest Conference on Masonic Education (Treasurer), The Missouri Lodge of Research, Rosanna Chapter #262 O.E.S., Independence Chapter #12 R.A.M., Independence Chapter #49 R.S.M., and Palestine Commandery #17 K.T., and AASR, Valley of Joplin as well as previous service on MOChIP Line 6, The Square and Compass Association of Greater Kansas City, and the East Gate Travelers Club.
