Most Worshipful Brother Bryson was born in 1975 in King City, Missouri where he spent his early years growing up on the farm. He moved to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1988, later graduating from Missouri Western State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. MWB Bryson has dedicated over three decades of his career to the credit union industry. In 2007, he transferred to the regulatory side of the industry, where he now serves as the Director of the Division of Credit Unions for the State of Missouri. In 1995 he married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Vogel. They have three daughters, Allyson, Alexandrea, and Alanna who have all graduated from college. The family attends Ashland United Methodist Church in St. Joseph.
MWB Bryson was initiated in 1995 and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 2008 at Brotherhood Lodge No. 269 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He is a Past Master of Brotherhood. He is also a Past Master of Cosby Lodge No. 600. He was appointed as District Deputy Grand Master of the 7th Masonic District and Grand Chaplain in 2014 and served as District Deputy Grand Master until 2017. In 2017 he was appointed to the Grand Lodge advancing line by MWB Ronald D. Jones. He has had the pleasure of serving the Craft as Chairman of the Ways and Means, Public Relations, and Scholarship Selection Committees as well as a member of the Forms & Ceremonies, Investment, Long Range Planning, Masonic Publications, Membership, Office Oversight, Samuel Smith Stewart Scholarship, Relief & Charity, and Scholarship Fund committees. He is a past chairman of board of the Masonic Children’s Foundation and currently serves as Chairman of the Masonic Home Board of Directors.
MWB Bryson is a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of St. Joseph. He was honored with the Knight Commander Court of Honor in 2013 and was coroneted as an Inspector General Honorary 33rd degree in 2025. He currently serves as the Assistant Personal Representative and has served the Scottish Rite in various offices of the three bodies. He is a charter member and Past Venerable Master of the Knights of St. Andrew, Valley of St. Joseph.
In the York Rite he is a Past High Priest of Mitchell Chapter No. 14, Past Illustrious Master of St. Joseph Council No. 9, and Past Eminent Commander of Hugh De Payens Commandery No. 4. He is a member of Missouri Prior No. 17, Knights of the York Cross of Honor and Our Lord’s Tabernacle LIV, Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests. He is the Past Puissant Sovereign of the St. Joseph Conclave of the Red Cross of Constantine, the Past Sovereign Master of Pony Express Council No. 350 Allied Masonic Degrees, and Past Governor of Edwin C. Carpenter York Rite College No. 181. He is a member of the Missouri College, SRICF. He has been honored as an AMD Knight Commander Red Branch of Eri. He is a recipient of the York Rite Sovereign College of North America’s Order of the Purple Cross.
MWB Bryson holds membership in Harry S. Truman Forest No. 212 of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Royal Order of Scotland, and the Missouri Lodge of Research. He is an honorary member of St. Louis Chapter No. 22 of the National Sojourners. He has been honored with the Honorary DeMolay Legion of Honor, is a past Dean and past secretary of the St. Joseph Preceptory.
