RWB Barry W. Jenkins

Right Worshipful Brother Jenkins was born in Springfield, Missouri, the youngest of two children born to Evart and Juanita Jenkins. He spent his early years growing up on the family farm then moved to Greenfield, Missouri in 1974. Barry attended school in the Greenfield school district where he was active in the athletic and band programs. After graduating high school in 1979, he attended Drury University and Draughons Business College then moved to Kimberling City where he resides today.

Growing up in a Masonic Family, Barry joined Allen McDowell DeMolay Chapter, in Greenfield in 1974. Shortly after joining DeMolay, the Greenfield lodge hall burned, and the DeMolay Chapter dissolved. In that short time before the dissolution of the Chapter, DeMolay taught him the Love of Parents, Reverence, Courtesy, Comradeship, Fidelity, Cleanness, and Patriotism which he believes are the core values of life. Although Linda and Barry do not have children, they have been involved with the youth groups in recent years, serving on the cook crew, at DeMolay Conclave Sunday Lunch, Masonic Youth Day and Barry currently serves on the Grand Lodge Youth Committee. Barry has previously served on the advisory board of Taneycomo Assembly #100 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and the Waynesville DeMolay Chapter.

Barry has worked for Herschend Family Entertainment, Inc. for 38 years and currently works in the Technology Services Group. Today, they are considered the nation’s largest family-owned themed attractions corporation. As a part of the family of entertainment companies, within the Herschend Enterprises portfolio, they employee more than 10,000 employees that creates, develops, and operates entertainment, tourism and hospitality properties that currently span 23 locations in six states. It was at Silver Dollar City that Barry met his wife Linda Samons and they were married in 1982.

His masonic career began at Washington Lodge #87 in Greenfield, Missouri in the winter of 1979 and became a Master Mason on February 29, 1980. Barry affiliated with Galena Lodge #515 in 1990 and served as Worshipful Master in 1993. Barry is currently serving as Secretary of Table Rock Lodge #680, Kimberling City. He was honored by being named Secretary of the year by the Grand Lodge Staff at the 2017 Grand Lodge Communication. He served as District Deputy Grand Master in 1998 – 2000 of the then 54th Masonic District. He has held a Subdivision I card for 26 years and holds a Subdivision III card.

Barry and Linda are Charter members of the New Testament Christian Church in Reeds Spring, Missouri and Barry serves as Finance Director and on the Administrative Team. His wife Linda had the honor of serving the Grand Chapter of Missouri, Order of the Eastern Star as Worthy Grand Matron in 2016 and Barry served that year as Grand Warder.

He has been a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Joplin and Abou Ben Adhem Temple in Springfield, Missouri for 38 years. He serves on the class committee in the Scottish Rite and Secretary-Treasurer of the Past Masters Unit of ABA Shrine Temple. He has been a member of Kimberling Chapter #164, Order of the Eastern Star for 27 years, and served as Worthy Patron 14 times. Other memberships include the Order of the Past Masters, Missouri Lodge of Research, Stone County Shrine Club, Lake Stockton Shrine Club, Sword of Bunker Hill and the Elks Lodge 2505 of Kimberling City Missouri.
