Right Worshipful Brother Morgan was born in Laclede County, MO November 4, 1945 and attended school in Lebanon, MO where he graduated in the Class of 63. Two years after graduation he entered the US Army. After graduating Basic training he attended Communications School as a Field Wireman. In the summer of 1967 He attended the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy at Ft. Riley, KS. after which attending and graduating the Army Drill Instructor School at Ft. Leonard Wood and was an Active Army Drill Instructor in his last year in the Army.
After his Honorable Discharge from the Army with the training he received in communications and lineman work He went to work for Laclede Electric Cooperative in Lebanon, MO where he was employed for 32 years in positions from Apprentice Lineman to Superintendent of Operations.
After retirement from the Cooperative, He petitioned Laclede Lodge No. 83 where He was Initiated, Passed and Raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on December 20, 2000. He served as Master of Laclede Lodge No. 83 and Conway Lodge No. 528.
Right Worshipful Brother Morgan has served the Grand Lodge of Missouri as DDGL for the 30th Masonic District and holds Subdivision I and Subdivision 2-1 Ritual Instructor Certification Cards.
He also joined the Lebanon York Rite in 2001 and has served in the East in all three bodies receiving the KYCH in 2006. He joined Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in 2001 where he served as Keg Patrol Captain and later in 2010 as Rajah of the Laclede County Shrine Club.
In October of 2001, He became a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Joplin where he joined the Auditorium crew, becoming the Assistant Director in 2005 and in 2007, Co- Director.
In October 2007 He was invested with the KCCH and in 2015 He was honored with the 33 degree. Right Worshipful Brother Morgan is a member of Red Cross of Constantine and AMD in Springfield.
Right Worshipful Brother Morgan married Susan Gibson in 1966 and they have two children, Matthew (wife Alicia) and Jennifer. They also have 3 Grandchildren, Eli, Dalton and Kailin.
Had I known that I would enjoy Masonry so much, I would have joined after my military discharge.
