RWB Lawrence S Cameron

Born January 8, 1941in Kansas City, MO

Graduated from Paseo High School, KCMO in 1959 Entered the USAF in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1963 as an A1C Married to Theresa Pearl Cameron (nee Davis) in 1963 at Cartwright, Labrador, Canada.

Worked at the Honeywell Corporation, a prime contractor for the Federal Government for 30 years, retiring in 1992 as the Supervisor of Technical Security.

Initiated, passed and raised in Swope Park Lodge No. 617 in 1969.

From 1967 thru 1979 was a reserve Police Officer for the Kansas City Police Department working as a Field Sergeant.

Advisor for Wm. F. Kuhn Chapter, Order of DeMolay from 1975 to 1977.

Guardian Treasurer of Bethel No. 7, IOJD at Swope Park Lodge No. 617 from 1977 through 1983.  Both daughters, Leanne and Leslie were Honored Queens.

Entered the advancing line of Swope Park Lodge #617 in 1971 as Tiler and elected Worshipful Master in 1977.

Appointed as DDGM in 1980-81 for the 22nd Masonic District, Division “B”.

Elected and served as Secretary of Swope Park Lodge in 1985-86.

Elected and served as Treasurer of Swope Park Lodge #617 from 2002-10 and voted Treasurer Emeritus by my brethren.

In 2010 I was appointed as an Honorary Member of Wm. F. Kuhn Chapter, Order of DeMolay.

In 2013 I was called upon to be a greeter and assist all visiting Grand Masters to Kansas City, MO at the “Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America”.

And in 2013, the International Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay invested me with the DeMolay Legion of Honor, as an Honorary member for life.

Also in 2013, the Square & Compass Association of the 18th Masonic District of Missouri appointed me as the Director of the Paul Miller Study Club at Swope Park Lodge No. 617 and I continue in that capacity instructing the ritual.

In 2014 I was appointed to serve on the Grand Lodge Committee on Youth and continue in that position to date.

In 2017 was installed as a Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Missouri, A F & A M.
