RWB Alan E. DeWoskin

Alan E. DeWoskin was born September 10, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from University City High School. Right Worshipful Brother DeWoskin graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri with an A.B. Degree in 1962 and with a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1965.

RWB DeWoskin lives in Chesterfield, Missouri with his wife Iris S. (Shapiro) DeWoskin. They are the parents of three sons: Joseph A. DeWoskin, Henry M. DeWoskin and Franklin A. DeWoskin and seven grandchildren. He and his family are members of the United Hebrew Congregation in St. Louis, Missouri.

RWB DeWoskin petitioned Cosmos Lodge No. 282 for membership and was initiated an Entered Apprentice on March 9, 1964; passed to the degree of Fellow Craft on September 14, 1964, and raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on February 22, 1965. He served as Master of Cosmos Lodge No. 282 in 1973 and 1995. He served as its Secretary from 1999 until 2004. Cosmos Lodge No. 282 merged with Benjamin Franklin Lodge No. 64 on June 31, 2004. He was appointed District Deputy Grand Master in 2006. Alan was appointed Grand Representative to Grand Lodge of Estado De Guerro, Mexico by the Grand Lodge of Missouri in 2007. In 2007, he was appointed to the Grand Lodge By Laws Committee. In 2007, he became a multiple member of Polar Star-Rose Hill Lodge #79 and was elected Secretary of the Polar Star-Rose Hill Lodge #79 in 2011 to 2014.

RWB DeWoskin became a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of St. Louis November 6, 1976, member of Moolah Shrine Temple in St. Louis, Missouri and National Sojourners Chapter No. 22 and Heroes of 1776 in St. Louis.

He is a former Assistant District Commissioner, New Horizon’s District, St. Louis Area Council and a Life Member of Eagle Scout Association, St. Louis Area Council; Boy Scouts of America.

He is a member of The Missouri Bar and The Illinois Bar. He has been admitted to United States Supreme Court; United States Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit; United States Court for the Eastern District of Missouri; United States Court of Military Appeals (now known as the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces); and United States Court of Federal Claims.

RWB DeWoskin was promoted to the rank of a Colonel and was branched in the Judge Advocate General Corps. He is now retired from the Army of the United States (1992). His last military assignment was in the Office of Judge Advocate General, Assistant Chief, Personnel, Plans and Training Office (IMA), HQ, DA Washington, D.C. He graduated from the U.S. Army War College (Non-Resident) in 1985.

RWB DeWoskin was awarded the United States Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Nation Defense Service Medal, Army Forces Reserve Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievements Medal (w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster), and Army Service Ribbon.

RWB DeWoskin is a member of American Bar Association; (Fellow of American Bar Association); The Missouri Bar, (Fellow of the Missouri Bar), Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys; Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives.
